Granville
Island Market is a bustling, fun place to browse and shop
for a wide variety of fresh local ingredients, as well as
stop for a bite in the popular food court. Tourists and
locals alike can find lots of activities to spend a pleasant
afternoon, such as enjoying live theatre performances and
touring art galleries. A thriving arts community is
present on Granville Island, with several theatres, an art
school, and plenty of street musicians and entertainers.
Located just minutes away from downtown Vancouver, Granville
Island is a definite tourist hotspot. Visitors from Seattle
may notice a similarity in energy to Seattle's
popular Pike Place Market.
Granville Island is also home to a number of fine
restaurants, including the
Dockside, Sandbar, and Bridges. If you have a special dietary need, be sure to inform your server.
