One dark and stormy night I decided to go with a friend to Vancouver's eclectic Commercial Drive area, and find something to eat. About a 5 to 10 minute walk north from the Commercial Drive / Broadway Skytrain station, we found an inviting Greek restaurant called "Dallas".
Now I'm not sure if the owners are formerly from Texas or if there is a story behind the name, but this large, romantically lit room and the affable server put me at ease. When I looked at the prices on the menu I was quite surprised at the affordability of the dishes, with rack of lamb around $10 Canadian dollars.
My friend ordered several of their on-tap beers while I enjoyed the rack of lamb and soup with pita bread (both pictured below). Overall this was a very satisfying experience and I will definitely be back.
Dallas Greek Restaurant was also recently featured in the popular Georgia Straight newspaper's dining guide.

Unbelievably,
my meal, which included this delicious Rack of Lamb
and the soup pictured below, came to about $12.
These were very
reasonable prices and the staff were friendly too. If
you have special dietary needs be sure to inform your
server, as they will be more than happy to accommodate
your request.
