Located on the corner of Alderbridge Way and No. 3 Road in Richmond, this cozy little Japanese restaurant offers both all-you-can-eat or
a-la-carte style. We chose the buffet, as we were quite hungry, which was reasonably priced at $10.99.
Our meal began with an order of miso soup which was a bit watery but was warm
and comforting nevertheless. The hot order dishes such as vegetable tempura and
agedashi tofu came next, and were easy on the palate and well prepared. The rest of our order, which was all
sushi, maki rolls, and temaki cones, took a little while to
arrive since this restaurant only had one sushi chef. This might become a problem on busy days so beware if there are many customers.?
Overall, the sushi tasted pretty fresh with generous amounts of salmon and tuna. The best thing I found on the menu was the chopped scallop cone. This hand cone tasted great with lots of scallops found throughout the cone.
One qualm I had with the menu was the lack of fruit or a dessert item.?
In general, this little restaurant provided a decent fare of Japanese dishes and for $10.99, the buffet is very good value for your money.?

Chopped Scallop Cone (temaki)?
Rolled with a generous amount of
scallops, right to the end of the cone.

Salmon and Tuna Sushi
Served with more fish than rice,
the way I like it! |
