Many people are familiar with the grocery chain Safeway, which has stores all across Canada and the USA. However, even if you are accustomed to filling up your cart with groceries at your local Safeway store, you might not know that Safeway's deli department has some outstanding Panini Sandwiches that the expert deli staff can grill right in front of you, while you wait.

Since I have a special low-fibre dietary need, I was limited with some of the choices of fillings. However that being said, I was able to have the corned beef sandwich with Swiss cheese and hot mustard, and it was very tasty combined with a bag of potato chips and a drink ($6.95), making for a nice filling lunch.

The friendly deli staff mentioned that if I buy seven sandwiches I will receive my eighth for free a great deal if you have become addicted to their sandwiches like I have. However as of June 30th, 2007 the above deal will be discontinued. I thought that I was going to have to use a coupon book to keep track of my purchases, but found out that I can use my Safeway card, so there is no extra paperwork to carry with me.

Since Safeway now offers numerous choices of Panini Sandwiches, there's a good reason to volunteer to do the shopping for your household (or even if you live alone, the arduous task of shopping will seem less of a chore).
