On August 9th, 2008 there is the Slow Food Cycle and Tour. From the press release: The tour will showcase a diversity of farming operations. There will be an opportunity to see a very innovative farm that grows salmon and crayfish entirely on land (no ocean phase) and in the process also produces treats such as watercress and wasabi. They will have a rare opportunity to tour a large commercial dairy farm, run by one of the leading dairy farmers in BC and speak with the dairy farmer. Also on the tour is a farm that grows herbs, makes wonderful herb-inspired treats, and produces chocolates, vinegars, and many other specialty food items. Edible British Columbia are expanding their chef guided market tours. |
