 Vancouver, BC: Delight in winter’s end with a rib-sticking meal of German comfort food when glowbal grill & satay bar heads to Central Europe this month. “Southern B.C. and Germany actually share the same circle of latitude, so we have a similar climate. It makes sense that traditional German dishes are perfect for shaking off a late-winter chill,” says John Crook, Executive Sous Chef. Diners can start with a warming Organic Lentil Soup or a Truffled Hasenpfeffer Stew, then move on to mains that include Veal Schnitzel, Choucroute Garnie or a hearty platter for two of delicious meats and cheeses. Complemented by beer and wine pairings and with a sweet finish of Classic Blackforest Cake, it’s a meal that will leave glowbal guests feeling perfectly prepared to handle these last days of winter.   Appetizers

Vancouver, BC: If you’re one who wavers over a meal from the briny deep, or one from field and farm, you’ll find perfect contentment when COAST Restaurant dishes up Surf ‘n Turf. “We love treating our guests to fresh, spectacular fish and shellfish from around the world, and we’re excited to show how it can pair seamlessly with robust meaty flavours,” says COAST Restaurant Chef Jeremy Atkins.  

Rather than the classic ’60s combination of steak and lobster, Atkins puts a new spin on things by partnering the sweet crustacean with Australian Beef Short Ribs. Diners can also choose a main of local BC elk served with luscious Dungeness Crab Hollandaise. Matched with COAST’s suggested wine pairings, this is one Surf ‘n Turf diners won’t soon forget.
