B.C. Day Weekend Ideas: Summer Night Market will be open Visit numerous Vancouver Restaurant Patios Visit the World Police and Fire Games Celebrate Our Province - Monday, August 3 Vancouver, BC (July 29, 2009): Granville Island is hosting its Annual BC Day Festival (August 3) with artists and artisans showcasing their wares throughout the Island with demonstrations and ideas to make your very own treasures. There is something here for everyone; bring the whole family and join our celebration of BC! Get your Granville Island BC Day program - available throughout the Island - stamped from various stops and win an art card set. You can also drop your name in a ballot box for your chance to win a signed limited edition framed print (valued at $450) donated by David McCann. Families will have an opportunity to check out the exciting Kids Market. Children visiting the Kids Market can register with ‘Child Find’, a unique personal fingerprint registry used for safety precautions, whilst browsing all the games and events to be found there. Local Island restaurants will be showcasing their best BC selections with daily specials and the buskers will be out in full force to entertain and amuse. Balloons, doggy treats, great eats and fun are all to be found on BC Day (August 3) at Granville Island. Granville Island Public Market and The Net Loft are open until 7 pm, seven days a week. |
